South Kitsap senior Adam Gascoyne, a three-sport standout for the Wolves, has committed to play football next season at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.

The Pointers, who compete in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, finished with a 2-8 record last year.

Gascoyne placed fourth in the Class 4A state wrestling tournament at 152 pounds and also runs track for South. His father, Ron, said his son will have the opportunity to compete in both sports at UWSP, as well.

On the gridiron, Gascoyne rushed for 1,079 yards and eight touchdowns.
