DeRego achieves state-qualifying time in another event

South Kitsap senior Damien DeRego achieved another state-qualifying time in the 100-yard freestyle in 49.84 seconds Thursday during the Wolves’ 122-64 loss against Stadium in a Class 4A Narrows League boys swim and dive meet.

DeRego previously achieved a state-qualifying time in the 50 freestyle.

South concludes its regular season Thursday at Central Kitsap.
